With specialized training in laser dentistry, she is Laser Certified by the American Board of Laser Surgery. She loves serving patients of all ages and all generations, including infants (and adults) with oral restrictions (lip, buccal, and tongue-tie issues). Dr. Hamlin has also completed advanced Dental Implant training and is an Invisalign® trained provider.

Dr. Hamlin is married to her college sweetheart, and they love spending time together with their two creative daughters. She also enjoys learning about wines, spirits, and craft beers – as she is now WSET Level 2 certified!
dr. McKenzie Halsey
Dr. Halsey is a compassionate dentist who loves helping patients feel confident and at ease in their smiles. A proud 757 native, she completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University before earning her dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Halsey is an active member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and Tidewater Dental Association. She specializes in restorative care, oral surgery, and preventive dentistry, combining clinical skill with gentle, thoughtful care.
When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find her dancing around the living room, crafting something new, discovering fresh music, or planning her next adventure - she has explored more than 10 countries so far! She also keeps her Duolingo streak alive, proving that learning (and fun) never stops. Dr. Halsey lives by the phrase “La vie est belle” - life is beautiful - and believes every smile should be, too.

A Legacy
Dr. Hamlin's father, Dr. Tutuh, passed away unexpectedly in May of 2023 leaving behind a legacy of excellence and compassion. It was through his passion, encouragement, and guidance that Dr. Hamlin followed in his footsteps and became a dentist. She hopes to be as positive, cool, calm, and collected as he was and she shows it every day with all of our patients.
